Alternative Natural Remedies
The Path to Silver Oils

Beyond the Doctor’s Office – Nature’s Answers to Skin and Beyond

I’m Gary Steel, and Silver Oils didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s the result of a long, hard road—years of skin problems, cancers, and frustration with doctors who couldn’t help. Growing up in a grimy machine shop and burning under the sun as a water skier left my skin a mess by the time I hit my 60s. When modern medicine failed me, my Christian faith and a deep dive into YouTube opened my eyes to what nature could do. Here’s a look at the alternative remedies that shaped my journey—and why colloidal silver became my cornerstone.

  1. Colloidal Silver – The Star of the Show
I’ve said it before: colloidal silver is a bacteria-killing powerhouse. I learned from countless success stories online that it could tackle infections, soothe skin, and protect against the daily grind. I took it further, crafting my own extra-strong version on the ranch—visible with a flashlight, not a laser. It’s the backbone of Silver Oils, shielding skin for 24 hours and helping it heal naturally.

  2. Chlorine Dioxide – A Hidden Gem
Back when skin cancer hit me hard, I found Jim Humble’s work on chlorine dioxide—sometimes called MMS. It’s a strong oxidizer, and I learned it could knock out parasites and bacteria inside and out. I figured out my own way to make it and added a touch to Silver Oils Skin Cream—not to cure anything (I can’t say that), but to give your skin an extra edge against the junk it faces daily. It’s part of my story of beating the odds.

  3. Olive Oil – Nature’s Moisturizer
Olive oil’s been around forever, and for good reason. It’s packed with antioxidants and sinks deep to hydrate skin without clogging pores. I mixed it into Silver Oils to soften the rough patches I’d earned over decades—it’s simple, pure, and works with the silver to keep skin smooth and happy.

  4. Beeswax – The Protector
Beeswax isn’t just a binder—it’s a natural shield. It locks in moisture, fights off bacteria, and gives Silver Oils its smooth texture without needing harsh emulsifiers. I spent years tweaking my ranch-made machine to blend it just right, and it’s a quiet hero in every jar.

  5. Epsom Salt (Magnesium Carbonate) – Calm and Balance
Epsom salt isn’t just for baths. It’s got magnesium to ease inflammation and balance oily skin while keeping it hydrated. I tossed it into Silver Oils for that extra soothing kick—perfect for calming breakouts or irritated spots without drying you out.

  6. Essential Oils – A Touch of Juniper Breeze
Juniper breeze essential oil isn’t just for scent (though men and women both like its clean, subtle vibe). It’s got antimicrobial chops and a calming effect on skin. I added just enough to make Silver Oils feel fresh without overpowering—nature’s little bonus.

  7. Hydrogen Peroxide – A Gentle Boost
At 1%, hydrogen peroxide brings a mild cleansing vibe to the mix. It’s another natural trick I picked up—helps kill surface bacteria and gives the silver a hand. It’s subtle but fits my no-nonsense approach.

These remedies aren’t random—they’re what I leaned on after 2015 when my health took a nosedive. I tried plenty that didn’t work—herbs, ointments, you name it—but these stuck. Guided by faith and a machinist’s stubborn streak, I built Silver Oils around them, with colloidal silver leading the charge. It’s not about replacing doctors for everyone; it’s about what worked for me, homemade on my Black Hills ranch, and what might work for you too.
